If anyone is still checking the blog, I can let you know that I just spent the last four days trekking the Singalila Range about 90 km outside of Darjeeling. Known for its tea, the town is a hill station nestled between Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan. I saw the sun rise over everest and the rest of the Annapurna range. I trekked above the tree line and weaved in and out of Nepal. It was incredibly cold. I am about to take a 3-hour shared jeep taxi to another hill station called Kalimpong. From there I will move on to another town in a few days called Mirik. I will be taking a 30-hour train ride from this area to Delhi between the 14th and 16th. On the 17th I will head to Agra to see the Taj. On the 19th I head for Istanbul. I meet up with my family on the 22nd.
